Set up inside the Mole Antonelliana<\/a>, emblem of the city, the museum\u2019s content unfolds across a five-floor itinerary that occupies the entire dome<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The exhibition, often interactive, narrates years of cinema history through films, the first video recording equipment, reproductions of short films, posters, signs, scenic objects from the most famous sets and much more.
The National Museum of Cinema in name in fact, as there is no lack of a real cinema inside. At the center of the hall, you can see clips of films sitting on comfortable red \u201cchaises longues\u201d. Last, but certainly not least, is the crystal lift which from the ground floor of the structure reaches a height of 85 meters where the 360\u00b0 view of Turin is beyond spectacular. I\u2019ll reveal to you a little curiosity about this activity: in Turin it is said that it\u2019s not a good omen for university students to ascend to the top of the Mole Antonelliana before graduating. In fact, it is not uncommon to see recent graduates, freshly proclaimed, still wearing the laurel wreath on their heads, take the panoramic lift and look out from the small temple at the top of the monument.
To be honest, there are several superstitions regarding this. Among the most extremist is my sister\u2019s theory: not only should you not go up there but you shouldn’t even look at the tip of the Mole Antonelliana before graduating. She believes that, having looked at her feet throughout her years of university, to avoid looking at the tip of the monument, helped her finish her studies. On the other hand, how can you contradict her? Her determination in not tempting fate has indeed rewarded her!<\/p>\n\n\n

So guys, I would say that now you have all the tools to decide how to spend a pleasant day at the National Museum of Cinema, as well as how to graduate without any hitches dictated by bad luck. Highly recommended visit, suitable for both adults and children, where it\u2019s impossible to get bored. There is a particular atmosphere. Probably due to a mix of factors, including the Back to the Future-style air that you breathe, the Titanic-like wooden stairs and the famous legend that has been passed down through generations among students, who, some more rigorously than others, have always respected it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
